Dale D. Mantell, D.V.M.
Dale D. Mantell, DVM, received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1974 and his veterinary degree in 1979 from Cornell University. After practicing in New York State and Warminster, Pennsylvania, he founded the Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic in 1983.
In his 28-year career, Dr. Mantell has treated a diverse range of patients. His experience includes a broad range of general medical cases and surgery. His interests include canine reproduction and challenging medical cases. His hobbies include sailing and small boat building.
Winner of the "Best of Bucks" award for veterinarian in 2004, Dr. Mantell lives with his wife Jeanne, their three daughters, and numerous pets in Doylestown.
Drew F. Sporer, V.M.D.
Drew has been a Pennsylvania resident his whole life. Born in Northeast Philadelphia, Drew attended high school at William Tennent in Warminster and pursued his undergraduate studies at Penn State University (a die-hard Nittany Lion fan, it is rumored he bleeds blue and white).
Drew attended veterinary school at Philadelphia's University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation in 1987, Drew joined Dr. Dale Mantell at the Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic and in partnership with Dr. Mantell has nurtured the clinic into Doylestown's largest and most progressive veterinary hospital. Dr. Sporer enjoys all aspects of small animal practice but has a special interest in orthopedic surgery.
Drew and wife Jill are proud to be blessed with two children, Brendan and Rachel. Hobbies include piano, boating and sports of all sorts but his first love is ice hockey - still actively playing despite the aches and pains inflicted by father time.
M. Lynn Myers, V.M.D.
Dr. Lynn Myers is a native of Williamsport, PA. She decided she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine at the age of 14. She attended Gettysburg College and earned a BA in chemistry in 1981, graduating with honors (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude). She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1986. Dr. Myers then practiced equine medicine in southeastern New York State from 1986-1988. Much of her work involved neonatal intensive care and reproduction. In 1988 Dr. Myers joined a 3 person equine practice in the Bucks/Montgomery County area. From 1988 to 1998 Dr. Myers specialized in treating performance horses.
Although Dr. Myers loved her career in equine medicine, she also always enjoyed small animals and small animal medicine. In 1998 she opted to give up equine medicine and pursue a career in small animal medicine. She has never regretted this change. She feels that this change of venue has allowed her professional life great variety and enjoyment and, in fact, went on to win the "Best of Bucks" award for veterinarian in 2005.
Dr. Myers lives in Blue Bell with her husband Irv and their three furry kids (Elijah and Sid their rescued domestic short hair kitties and Ruby, a mixed-breed rescue). Ruby also “works” at DAMC—she helps the front desk staff when Dr. Myers is at the clinic. Dr. Myers is an instrument-rated private pilot and she also enjoys skiing, golf, scuba diving and hiking in her free time.
Eileen Lindmeier, V.M.D.
A lifelong resident of Bucks County, Eileen graduated from nearby Delaware Valley College with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry in 1985 and went on to receive her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990.
Before joining the Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic in 1996, Eileen practiced at the Trevose Veterinary Center. Interested in every aspect of veterinary medicine, Eileen excels at helping clients with medically compromised pets understand, in very practical terms, how best to move forward in their treatment plans.
Married with two children, Eileen's spare time is spent horseback riding, gardening, and cooking. She also shares her lovely home with one dog, two cats, two horses and one very adorable donkey.
Mary Landis, V.M.D.
Dr. Mary Landis received a BA in Chemistry with a Mathematic Minor, in 1995 at Temple University. In 1996 she received an MA in Physical Chemistry. Dr. Landis took Post Graduate research in Materials Science/Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Mary graduated from University of Pennsylvania in 2004. Her clinical interests include Ophthalmology; Soft Tissue and Orthopedic Surgery; Anesthesia and Pain Management in Critical Patients.
Mary grew up in Philadelphia where she resides with her husband Rob, her daughter Samantha, two spoiled labradors, one cat, and three guinea pigs.
Jules Benson BVSc, MRCVS
Originally from Lancashire, England, Jules joined the practice in April 2006. He graduated from De Montfort University, Lincoln with a qualification in Animal Handling and Husbandry (1998) then received his Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Conservation Medicine (2002) and his veterinary degree (2004) at the University of Liverpool, UK. He is also a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and holds a PADI Rescue Diver certification.
Prior to pursuing his veterinary education, Jules worked for a year as a wildlife volunteer in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. In his spare time Jules enjoys exercising, reading, travel, music, movies and computers.
Jules lives in Carversville with his three cats and his gecko, Charlie.
Lynn Castiglia, V.M.D.
Dr. Lynn Castiglia grew up in Lansdale, PA, and attended North Penn High School. She received a BS in Animal Bioscience with honors in Dairy Science from the Schreyers' Scholars Program at Pennsylvania State University in 2001. Lynn received her degree in veterinary medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. After graduation, she practiced at Harleysville Veterinary Hospital, and then joined our team at DAMC in June 2006. Her interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and radiology. Lynn has one furry “son” named Trevor, a Welsh Terrier.
Shana Kallen , V.M.D.
Born and raised in Bucks County, Shana graduated from Council Rock High School before going on to receive her B.S. from West Chester University. Shana then headed to the Great White North to attend vet school, Prince Edward Island Atlantic Veterinary College. With her degree in veterinary medicine and ready to shun snow once and for all, Shana headed for the warm climate of Arizona where she practiced for ten years until realizing there's no place like home—and returned to friends and family in Bucks County several years ago. Shana enjoys giving well exams and providing guidance to new pet owners.
An enthusiastic runner and hiker, Shana lives with her two dogs, Jasmine and Valentine, and her cat (rescued by DAMC), Daisy.
Johanna Frank, DVM. DVSc
Diplomate ACVIM (Small Animal Internal Medicine)
While not a full-time member of our staff, Johanna is very much an important member of the DAMC family of doctors. A highly skilled and trained veterinary professional, Johanna was born and raised in Canada, but now calls Bucks County her home. She received her veterinary degree from Ontario Veterinary College where she also went on to receive her DVSc degree. Johanna's medical interests include internal medicine, especially hepatic disease/gastrointestinal disease, hematological diseases, nephrology and endocrinology, as well as specific diagnostic procedures including ultrasonography and endoscopy.
Johanna provides ultrasound and internal medicine consultations on most Tuesdays at our clinic. However, there are times when she can be scheduled on an as-needed basis, depending on the nature of your pet's medical condition.
Johanna resides with her husband Sean, her three beautiful children, Benjamin, Jillian, and Allison, her dogs Sean and Oliver (a.k.a. "Mr. Pickles") and a cat, Roo in Furlong, PA. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exercising, reading, and photography.
